inspectors should look for and note:
mortar joint condition;
loose bricks;
misdirected downspouts;
overflowing gutters;
horizontal cracks;
vertical cracks;
step cracks;
untreated wood in contact with soil;
previous repairs;
sagging lintels;
missing or obstructed weep holes;
too few weep holes; and
missing or improperly installed flashing.
